Marie Brown, the founder of Aviva Senior Living, believed a community could do more and be more for older Sarasota area residents. Together with a group of dedicated volunteers, Marie gave life to a promise in the form of Aviva. That promise was to provide a community built on Jewish values where seniors could live extraordinary lives by embracing wellness, life-enriching activities, illness prevention and dynamic social interaction. Marie’s vision in 1993 remains at the heart of everything we do and offer here at Aviva. As we begin our fourth decade, we continue to pursue new ways to give seniors more of what they want and what they deserve out of an active aging lifestyle.

Our Mission: To create and sustain non-exclusionary communities where seniors can live life to its fullest, answering their needs for quality housing, financial peace of mind, wellness, safety and spiritual fulfillment with a reverence for life and a belief in its dignity.
Our Vision: To create the most supportive and dignified retirement experience in Southwest Florida.
Value Proposition: Aviva welcomes all seniors who want a fulfilling environment and access to quality health care services. We embrace wellness, life-enriching activities, illness prevention and dynamic social interactions built on Jewish values. Aviva celebrates all Jewish holidays on campus, creating a need for tighter security to protect a targeted and fragile community of Jewish elders.
